Broncos Alex Singleton Remains On Schedule For A Full Return In 2025

Linebacker Eager After 2024 Season Cut Short by ACL Tear

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton is showing signs of anticipation as he prepares to return to the field. After being limited to just three games in the 2024 season due to an ACL tear, Singleton remains on schedule for a full return in 2025.

He also shared optimism about participating in Denver’s organized team activities (OTAs), which begin on May 27. “I can’t give specific numbers, but we have practices in a few weeks and you guys can see for yourselves where I’m at,” Singleton said last week during a charity event, via Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post.

Recovery Progress and Goals for the Offseason

Any involvement in OTAs is a positive step for a player recovering from a season-ending injury. However, how extensively Singleton will participate as he continues his recovery remains to be seen.

Before his injury, Singleton had proven to be one of the league’s most consistent tacklers. He recorded over 120 tackles in four consecutive seasons and surpassed 160 in each of his first two years with the Broncos. Though he missed most of last year, the 31-year-old has continued to meet his offseason recovery milestones.

“I think I’m getting my helmet fitted next week,” Singleton said. “I think that’ll be a little happy moment. Then, the first OTAs. All these happy moments. And then training camp, it’ll be like, ‘Oh, we’re back.’ I think it’ll be really cool to get to do those things and get to do that.”

Broncos Banking on Veteran Presence in 2025

The Broncos are looking to Singleton and newcomer Dre Greenlaw to help stabilize the linebacker unit after both missed nearly the entire 2024 season due to injury. If the duo can stay healthy, Denver could have one of the most agile and reliable inside linebacker pairings in the league.

But as with any player coming back from injury, especially one in his 30s, Singleton’s health will remain uncertain until he’s fully tested in training camp.

I've been hooked on football since I first picked up a ball as a kid. After years of coaching and living the highs and lows of the game, I turned my passion into writing. Now I cover the NFL with the same love and energy I had on the field.
